TORONTO - Canada’s two main opposition parties, the New Democratic Party and the Liberal Party have laid it on the ruling Conservatives for “abandoning” Africa in preference for Latin America when it comes to aid and development partnership. Participating in a discussion on “African Perspectives”, a Tuesday morning programme on CHRY Radio of Toronto, the Foreign Affairs critic for the NDP, Alexa Mcdonough and the Liberals’ CIDA critic, Mark Eyking said Prime Minister, Stephen Harper is not pulling together with world leaders who are advocating for more assistance to Africa.
