“HIV and AIDS Do Not Exist”: Final Discussion
This Tuesday 21 August we continue our discussion with Hannilie Zulu focussing on HIV and AIDS and probing the facts and the myths on the subject. We have a person from Uganda “stamped HIV positive” coming to the programme to give her perspective on HIV and AIDS.
Zulu is a native of Zambia and is currently based in Denmark. She is the founder of AfriDAD a non governmental organisation that focuses on Debt, Aid and Development in Africa. She has studied international economies, has authored more than 400 articles on the world economy and how it affects Africa. She is the author of 11 books which include: "Negotiating Blood" a book about the world economy, 'The mother of the Matrix' the most oppressed and controversial case of the century, The Evacuation and others. Hannilie is about to launch her new book on HIV and AIDS titled: "Telling AIDS Stamped Relatives They Are Not Ill and Becoming Eternal Enemies with Them", this coming winter.

Malnutrition is accelerating among Zimbabwe's children, their access to healthcare is declining, and one in 10 in the capital, Harare, is suffering from kwashiorkor, a condition caused by an acute lack of protein, according to new reports released by the government.
The 2005/06 Zimbabwe Demographic and Health Survey (ZDHS), compiled with the assistance of the Central Statistical Office (CSO), found that 29 percent of children under five were stunted, a condition in which a child is shorter than the average for his or her age because of the cumulative effects of chronic malnourishment. The previous ZDHS survey, in 1999, found that 27 percent of children under five years old were stunted.

Luckily for us the economy has yet to collapse.....right Kuthula? I mean because starving zimbabwean children is definately not a sign of a collapsed economy, no couldn't be. Thanks to ZPF for keeping our country on track, they are truly heroes.
Please post some of the main points made by Ms. Zulu.
Did I hear correctly that she blames AIDS on Aspartame, Benzene and Mercury?
I really wish I could have called although I think I am a little too mean spirited for a radio program but if I heard correctly I don't know how you could have kept a straight face. Aspartame???? To be honest I don't really like the stuff but I have been forced to consume it almost daily through soft drinks, chewing gum etc etc, they put the stuff in everything these days. And if it were Mercury or Benzene then AIDS would be most prevalent with those in the manufacturing industries due to the heavy use of those chemicals in the production of industrial supplies. A simple argument against her hypothesis is that we have seen AIDS in other Apes and Monkeys and I don't think they have been in contact with much aspartame, Benzene or Mercury.
I find it hard to tolerate these beliefs, it is not really my concern what Ms. Zulu believe but when she seeks to convince others of her hairbrained ideas I think it is everyones responsibility who knows better to counteract this ignorance. These beliefs are putting lives at risk not only to people who are already infected but those of us who are not infected and come into intimate contact with people who think their HIV status is harmless. If her beliefs were totally benign for example believing in Budda as opposed to god then I would have absolutely no problem her personal beliefs are unlikely to harm others but this is not the case in this scenario.
The most interesting thing to me would be to discover why the denial of the virus holds such appeal to so many people. The other site you directed me to was quite fun, quite a few people over there believe in some sinister plot to destroy mankind or whatever. On one hand they will say that AIDS was created in order to kill off Blacks and other undesireables and then on the flip side they will say the disease does not exist and is caused by of all things malnutrition.
