Thanks Leo. It was good seeeing you...and your music was rocking!!!!!! You had promised to leave those CDs with me?? Get in touch and we organise to get them...They are wicked man!
Corn prices go through the roof, as Zimbabwe's production remains stagnant. This whole land appropriation issue just keeps getting worse as now Zimbabwe must spend more forex to bring in enough maize to feed our people. What exactly is current leadership doing to alleviate the issue? Well at this point what can they do? Mismanagement of the process to return land to the people has led us down this path and we are now paying the Piper a steep price while Nigeria and Zambia reap the rewards of our ex farmers.
OK so that milk has been spilt, what do we do now? It is time to implement performance based ownership. If a farmer does not meet specific production goals they should lose the land they were given, if a farmer meets these goals for 3 years running then their ownership should be made permanent. We must get the best people on the land ASAP.
Despite all the discussion it doesn't matter who is in power in Zimbabwe in terms of the difficult decisions that need to be made. Govt spending will have to be cut drastically, we must get the economy back on track and govt spending is one the biggest mistakes the ZPF govt has made to date.

If Mugabe is such a strong leader why are we hearing stories that ZPF is headed for a split due to Mugs' iron grip on power.
Even if Mugabe wins this coming election under cloudy circumstances I cannot see Zimbabweans reacting as they have in Kenya. What do you think?
Kuthula tahnks for the good times, heres wishing you a successful and happy 2008
