It took EIGHT years to realise that Movement for Democratic Change President (Anti-Senate faction) Morgan Tsvangirai is a dictator and a weak leader bereft viable policies and person management skills.
When people like us raised this issue we were insulted using all the vulgar words one can think of. We were also accused of being CIOs or Zanu PF zealots when the simple truth was that Tsvangirai was a hopelessly weak yet dangerous dictator. It was therefore important for us to hold him to scrutiny to portray him for what he really is. Finally, even his own people who decided to be blind to reality are noticing it.
It will not help the opposition to continue burying their heads in the sand. Doing so, has cost them: a decade of tyranny and weak leadership.

Although it might be an inconvenient truth to the MDC, they can not sugar coat it any more.Morgan Tsvangirai is a political disaster.
Morgan Tsvangirai is a huge disappointment, given the hopes that we all hard about him. He maybe worse than Former President Chiluba of Zambia. Tsvangirai is a sell-out, a liar, sexist, and tribalist.
I agree 100% with you. I was in fact one of those who chose to ignore that fact. In any case the man has no vision. He lacks the intelligence and charisma to run a country like ZIM. He is indeed dictatorial and tribalistic. However what is the way forward for Zim.
Maqhawe
27 years and counting to Notice Mugabe's fatal flaws and leader.
What is it they say "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone."
Everyday our country sinks further and further into the economic abyss and all we can do is look for faults in the weak opposition. I for one would rather a faulted Tsvangirai than a failed Mugabe.
It is not what Morgan brings to the table, it is what he does not bring to the table that interest me. Morgan does not bring continued sanctions to the table, he doe not bring the failed agricultural policy the the table, he does not bring the fail financial system to the table.
We are not getting any younger, we do not have time to wait for ZPF to end their infatuation with GREED and return to serving the people. What we need is balance, Morgan is not entranched in the army or judiciary, the Zimbabwe people would be in a much better position to get rid or Morgan or hold his feet to the fire than we are with Robert who is in firm control of the police, secret police and army. Zimbabweans will continue to have no voice as long as Robert is running things.
Yes we are stuck between a rock and a hard place we risk jumping from the frying pan into the fire but by remaining in the frying pan we ensure our certain death while if we jump we may just clear the fire and survive.
That has been the difference between you and me for quite some time. You would rather stare down at the fire from your perch in the frying pan afraid to take a risk, I on the other hand refuse to be an easy meal and would rather take my chances escaping through the fire.
Hi Dave,
Its been a while. Well, make your choice. Did you read The Zimbabwe Independent of this week? www.theindependent.co.zw
I am only glad that I have been vindicated. I was accused in the strongest terms for saying exactly what Tsvangirai was. Now, even by your own admission - beyong any reasonable doubt - you accept my long held assertion. Not only do you support my position but you even use strong language to liken the man who was equated with democracy and everything that was glorious. You liken him to a fire. I wish you all the best in fighting your fire.
Maqhawe,
You ask a pertinent position. The way forward - as I have strongly suggested at all times - is to KICK OUT Tsvangirai. Nothing more. Its that simple.
Greetings, I hadn't been looking at this site but came by just to see what was going on.
You miss my point Kuthula. And Misinterpret what I said. I liken Morgan to jumping from the frying pan, the consequences of which could be landing in the fire or escape. The point is that by sticking with Robert there is no chance of escape, we will die in the frying pan by doing nothing.
You can complain about Morgan all you want but realistically what is your alternative? Let Rob die in office while everyone starves? Ok so Mugs stays in office, the rest of the world continues to shun Zimbabwe and our dollar continues to fall until Gono decides to replace it with another worthless piece of paper. Then what? In all of our discussions you have never presented me with a realistic vision of how Zimbabwe can return to prosperity.
With a change in leadership I foretell a few things will occur.
1. The international community will reengage Zimbabwe on an economic level.
2. Zimbabwe as with other countries will have the vast majority of its foreign debt cancelled.
3. There will be a massive rush by foreign entities to invest in Zimbabwe no longer fearing their investments will be appropriated by ZPF.
4. Without the legacy of Mugabe, Morgan or whomever will not have such an easy time bullying the Zimbabwe people who will not want to see a repeat of the past 27 years.
5. Many Zimbabweans who are now outside the country will return bringing with them experience and know how thus fueling the economic productivity of the country.
In truth these benefits will be gained by Zimbabwe not by something that a new leader will do or say they will come about simply due to a change in leadership. I believe the big picture is what we should be focusing on. Robert rails against colonizating by the west but we are quickly becoming a slave to China, I fail to see how that is any better. The problem with limiting ourselve to trade with China is that China is a producer of finished goods and an importer of cheap raw materials. We will never be able to export finished goods to China however if we ever develop the means of production the west would be the only destination for finished goods that we produce.
Regardless it looks like Zimbabwe will not be seeing a change in leadership so all of my wishful thinking shall remain just that. You must be so happy that the Canadian dollar is strengthening and the Zim dollar is in free fall, your purchasing power must be going through the roof.
