True. This is encouraging. I hope the spirit remains.

Zimbabwe reduction in HIV/AIDS has been tremedous, despite donor contribution boycott, especially by UK Gov't. Today Zimbabwe is the only country in Southern Africa to have achieved this. I think this is because of word of mouth and the fact that all of us have a family member or relative with HIV/AIDS. Go....Zimbabwe, unity and fight HIV

Should one trust the statistics of a 'government' with such a poor track record - surely Nomatter
Tagarira alias Rotina Mavhunga had a hand in compiling the stats!

THE National Incomes and Pricing Commission was given the task to reduce AIDS figures. They did a splendid job, in true African spirit and should be congratulated. President (for life) Mugabe next tasked them to increase the measured IQ average of ZANU-PF members and to lower the food to egg ratio of Zimbabwian chickens.

Where then should we get the statistics? The implication of course is that the statistics could be wrong. If they are, then it is incumbent upon the critics to come up with their own correct ones. To just criticise and not come up with anything ddemonstrates shallowness. Its like someone who says they do not listen to what the government says. If so then, on what basis does that person engage the stated facts.
No wonder why the opposition is in such disarray!!

Ignorant Anonymous,

You are raging with hate and fatal prejudice that you become blind to easy facts. The AIDS statistics were validated by various non-governmental organisations such as the Centre for Disease Control Atlanta, Imperial College London, and United Nations agencies, including the World Health Organisation.
You think you will fool us with your lies, then forget it. We read extensively.
If you do not have substance please do not even bother to make contributions here. You are a poison.

The sector of the population that engages in risky sexual activity has died off. Pretty soon we will only be left with those who protect themselves and live a lower risk lifestyles. Thus infection rates decrease. It's not really an accomplishment but I guess some might see it that way.
